Wendy Williams Passes Psych Test Amid Guardianship Drama

Wendy Williams has reportedly passed a psychiatric evaluation after being taken from her assisted living facility in New York City, New York.
The 60-year-old former talk show host achieved a perfect score on a mental capacity test conducted at Lenox Hill Hospital, with doctors confirming she is “alert and oriented”.
Williams’ hospitalisation followed a dramatic plea for help, during which she dropped a handwritten note from her fifth-floor living space window that read: “Help! Wendy!!”. Police conducted a welfare check before escorting her to an ambulance on Monday, 10 March.
The broadcaster has been under court-ordered guardianship since 2022, due to concerns about her financial and medical well-being. However, she has been fighting to regain independence, denying claims of cognitive impairment or frontotemporal dementia.
Williams has described her living situation as restrictive, comparing it to a “prison”. She has also claimed she is unaware of the medications she is receiving.
The results of her psychiatric test will be sent to a judge, potentially influencing her legal battle to end guardianship. If her request is denied, sources suggest she may push for a jury trial to reclaim full control of her life.
